MUSIC FOR FILM & TELEVISION

Sean William has made his mark in the film industry as a valued collaborator and creator with a passion for developing narrative soundscapes and world-building soundtracks. Adept across genres, he has found a unique voice blending acoustic instruments and instrumentation with analog synthesis and sound design.

From an apocalyptic soundtrack made solely from water drops and water-filled glasses (Watershed), to the incisive violin and poignant woodwinds of a father’s loss echoing across time ("The Second" starring Paul Sun-Hyung Lee from Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Mandalorian, Kim's Convenience), Sean has worked on dozens of diverse film projects that have screened across North America and received numerous awards and distinctions for best direction, storytelling, and original music. Recent project highlights include the 3-part limited series Providence Falls (Hallmark Channel) as well as 4 part limited series VC Andrew's Dawn (Lifetime Network) and the 2025 Leo Award nominated score for short drama “The Neighbourhood at the End of the World’.

With a degree in classical guitar performance from the University of British Columbia School of Music, Sean offers a strong compositional foundation along with extensive experience in studio recording and audio engineering. Notably his 2019 Leo Award winning score for the dialogue-free short film Small Fish features energy-driven guitar pieces with finger-style acoustic, classical, flamenco, and electric arrangements.

Sean most enjoys exploring music as an additional character and significant emotional catalyst in filmmaking and storytelling. Most importantly, he is a fervent and inclusive collaborator whose knowledge of film and television production add deep value to any production team.
